Educational Technology Portfolio

A while ago, I found a small, tattered construction paper cutout of a person, almost the same shape as a gingerbread man.  It was blue and faded, and glued onto the head was a picture of me, 10 years old, hair in pigtails.  Each arm and leg contained a written word describing my favorite things: food, color, T.V. show, etc. But on the belly, in large, neatly printed letters was my future profession: Teacher.

And so I am and have been for the last six years.  But a few years ago, I did not think that I would last in the teaching profession.  I was ready to leave, venture out into new territory to see where the world would take me.  Enrolling in the Educational Technology Program at San Diego State University in 2004 was the starting point in this journey, the journey that took me back to my love. . . teaching.

This ePortfolio serves as a final project to showcase the work that I have completed and to demonstrate the knowledge that I have gained throughout my Master’s Program in Educational Technology at San Diego State University.

Included in the portfolio you’ll find a little more about me and my background, a Standards Matrix complete with artifacts created during my time in the Educational Technology Program, and a Comprehensive Reflection that explains my journey in EDTEC.

We obtain our education at home, at school, and most important, in life itself.  The learning process must go on as long as we live.
